The Muscular Dystrophy Association of Mid-Eastern Michigan is pleased to offer a great opportunity to help in the fight against Muscular Dystrophy…FISHING FOR A CURE!
MDA will receive 20% of entry fees & 100% of the proceeds from the raffles to help local MDA patients & families in Mid-Eastern Michigan.
The event will bring many boats to the harbor and hundreds of fishermen. We will be providing participants with t-shirts as part of their registration to the tournament and will also be selling event t-shirts to the general public.
The Mid-Eastern Chapter of MDA serves over 400 patient families with Muscular Dystrophy. The dollars that are raised from this event enables MDA to continue to offer an array of patient services. These services include diagnostic and follow-up care at Children’s Hospital, Harper Hospital and McLaren Regional Medical Center, a week of sunshine and smiles at Camp Cavell in Lexington and Lions Bear Lake Camp in Lapeer, extensive research, support groups, and funding toward the purchase and repairs of wheelchairs and braces. All services are provided at absolutely no cost to the patient or their family.
This year the goal is to raise $10,000 through the “FISHING FOR A CURE” event and, with your help, we are confident that we can reach that goal. We hope you will join us in making this a successful event. |
